Five Cars More Fun Than Your Girlfriend

By Anthony Alaniz

We all have one person in our life that laments us for what they call our automotive addiction. We call it a lifestyle choice. At a young age there were people in life that stand in your way of your joy rides and tire shredding antics, we call them girlfriends.
Below is a list of five cars, in no particular order, which are proven to be more enjoyable than some of our ex's, cheaper than some of our dates, and create a longer relationship than a few one night stands could ever hope to dish up.

1. 2010 Mazda MX-5 Miata

After twenty years since its introduction the 2010 Mazda MX-5 Miata has not drifted far from its original roots. The two-seater look has remained light, original, and seemingly always in style. Offering a modest 168 horsepower to the rear wheels helps get those early morning drifts out of your system. No fancy Gucci handbags here to accent the smiling front grille; the Miata is always happy.

2. 2011 Ford Mustang GT

Considered the best bang for your buck, and no not that kind of bang, the 2011 Ford Mustang resurrects a legend; their popular 302 cubic inch engine makes a dramatic, and powerful, return. With a new six speed transmission offered in both manual and automatic variants, the slush box is always the best choice. Paired with aggressive styling, the 2011 Ford Mustang GT has the looks to turn any guy’s head.

3. 2010 Chevrolet Camaro

The 2011 Chevrolet Camaro is something of an elusive supermodel; appearing in some of the hottest movies but almost always out of reach. The concept's styling turns the Camaro into a car that is sexy from any angle. Even if you cannot see behind you like some narcissistic creature, you don’t need to when you are leading the pack. With the 425 horsepower LS3 engine screaming under the hood, the only thing you will be able to hear is your own inner voice.

4. 2010 Nissan 370Z Coupe

With Asian flavor splashed across the car, the 2010 Nissan 370Z is just as impractical as a V-8 powered Ford Focus. With offering just two seats and a sad excuse of a trunk, the only redeeming quality is the beautiful power plant under the hood; a 3.7-liter V-6 engine producing a modest 322 horsepower. This offers a quick 0 to 60 of just five seconds so you can keep her out of the limelight and away from any prying eyes.

5. 2010 Dodge Challenger R/T

This is the vehicle of choice if nostalgia is running through your veins. With a look that borderline steals from the original some forty years back, the Challenger is something of a sweet sweet toy. It is not like the Chevrolet Camaro where you take it to the track, or a Ford Mustang that heads to the drag strip. No, the Challenger is something you cruise the main drag in, laying down rubber when you feel like, not when you are challenged.
There you have it, five hot cars to cool the end of summer off with.  Now go out and splurge a little before you other half knows where the checkbook went and why you are lunching at McDonalds.
